In fact, the site with the best performance in both desktop and mobile is Listing #8, which ranked 8th in the result page. On the other hand, the site with the weakest performance in both desktop and mobile is Listing #1, which ranked 1st in the result page. This goes to show that ranking high in search results doesn’t necessarily mean that your site has the best page speed.

Only Listing #7 passed the Pingdom speed test. The poorest performance was listing #1 in Google’s search result page.

Conclusion

There was NO figure or data show page speed affect search ranking even confirmed ranking factor for Google’s search results. Google also did confirm that they removed the motto “Don’t be evil” from their code of conduct in 2018.

Interestingly, even though many people believe that page speed affects search ranking, there is no confirmed data or figure that supports this idea. While Google has listed page speed as a ranking factor, there is no concrete evidence to suggest that it directly impacts search results.

That being said, it’s still important to ensure that your site has a good page speed. A faster site not only provides a better user experience but can also lead to increased engagement and higher conversions. So even if it doesn’t directly impact your search rankings, improving your page speed is still crucial.
